March 2026 Program Dates

March 5 - Rising Leaders - Speaker Series
The Rising Leaders team participated in a day of learning, discussion, and collaboration designed to engage participants in professional and personal development. Students took part in a medical discussion with Sonja Rasmussen of Johns Hopkins University Hospital, as well as a design thinking session led by Lyndon Cerejo. Rachelle Carnesale of the Fulton County Superior Court discussed the “My Journey Matters” program and its impact, and students brought donations for children of the affected families.

March 25 - Class of 2027 - Group Project Presentations

The Class of 2027 Blue Team & Green Team students presented their Group Projects, highlighting civic engagement, leadership, and service initiatives. Projects included historical research (“History in our Backyard” series on sites like Ft. Pulaski, Port of Savannah, Nancy Hart, Kettle Creek, and Nathaniel Greene), community service efforts (hygiene drives, toy drives, seniors support, veterans advocacy), school transition support, health awareness campaigns, and leadership development initiatives.

March 26 - Class of 2027 Blue Team - City Day
The Class of 2027 Blue Team visited Johns Creek City Hall for a comprehensive overview of local government and city operations. We began with school and city governance sessions, followed by interactive tours (boardwalk and traffic control center), and a Johns Creek history reflection. The rest of the day consisted of an overview of city projects and parks funding, town center development projects, and a look into public safety departments (fire and police).
